| Pakistan Flood Relief Efforts |
 August 2010Massive flooding in all four provinces of Pakistan has killed more than 1,500 people and left millions homeless and hungry. The United Church of Christ is supporting Church World Service in distributing food and tents for tens of thousands of families in dire need. And, CWS mobile medical teams are providing emergency care. The United Church of Christ sent $25,000 from One Great Hour of Sharing emergency funds to CWS with a pledge to raise additional donations from members and friends. | Urgent appeal from Church World Service |
 July 2010Church World Service is desperately low on clean-up buckets and school kits. As such, we are appealing to all of you to promote the need for these items to churches, vacation bible schools or others within your denominations who might put together these kits for us. The need is great as we are in the midst of tropical storm and hurricane season where clean-up buckets often are requested and for the school kits, as overseas partners prepare for the fall school year.
