has completed a survey of its members to learn their degree of satisfaction with various church programs, and to identify members’ perceived strengths and weaknesses of Shadow Rock. The survey questionnaire was distributed through the church newsletter.

has called the Rev. Theresa Stirling to serve as pastor. Rev. Stirling is moving from New Hampshire and will start November 1.

Rincon Congregational Church in Tuscon, Arizona
is considering installing solar panels on its campus. The church is soliciting input from members of the congregation by means of a written questionnaire.


Rev. Wallace KuroiwaThe Rev. Wally Kuroiwa has been called as interim pastor at Church of the Painted Hills in Tucson, Arizona. He was previously the interim pastor at Valley Community Church in Silver City, New Mexico. Kuroiwa retired from the UCC national staff on December 31, 2009. He was Minister and Team Leader of the Economic and Racial Justice Ministries.

Church of the Beatitudes in Phoenix, Arizona
has introduced “Beatitudes Bistro” which is open every Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:00 PM before the church’s regular Wednesday evening programs. The Bistro won’t include usual “church food” but will have “grab-and-go” food made with fresh ingredients. Price is $5 and $3 for kids.
