Annual Meeting

One of the most powerful verses in the Hebrew Scriptures comes from the prophet Micah: “What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (6:8b,c) It is my privilege and joy—with that verse in mind— to invite you to the 2012 Southwest Conference Annual Meeting hosted by The Good Shepherd UCC. Following the theme Let Justice Roll! we will hear about justice work being done and to be done in our Conference. We will experience kindness with one another as our delegates and guests meet for fellowship and learning. We will walk humbly in God’s presence in worship and in service.
As I conclude my term as Moderator of the Southwest Conference, I will continually speak to you about the growth and excitement we’ve experienced in the transition to our new ministry structures under the new Bylaws, the incredible potential for ministry we see for our future, and about the gratitude I feel for everyone who has worked so hard these past twelve months. In the fourteen years I have served in this conference, there has never been such energy and spirit! Come and witness it!
